Mr Green Bets on Red and Black

Mr Green – the award-winning online casino – has been officially unveiled today as the new main sponsor of Bohemian FC after penning an innovative agreement with the club for the coming season.

Already an established brand across Europe, Mr Green has a presence in 10 markets with over 700,000 registered players, and is listed on the Swedish Stock Exchange. In addition to launching in Ireland, the brand has plans for further country launches in 2014.

Under the agreement, which was brokered by Fortitude Sport Management, Mr Green will provide significant financial and marketing support to Bohemian FC and the company’s logo will appear as lead sponsor on the club’s iconic red and black home jersey – a design that was decided by the club’s supporters – as well as their all-new GREEN away strip! In addition, Mr Green will sponsor the players’ work-wear for the season, with each player to wear GREEN boots.

As well as featuring on the front of the new Bohs kits, Mr Green will also invest heavily in a signage programme at Dalymount Park, as part of this financial and marketing investment. This level of committed financial and marketing investment and input from Mr Green should prove to be a huge boost for both the club and the players as manager Owen Heary and his team look forward to the coming season.

Mr Green Ireland Country Manager Gavin Flood said: “Bohemian FC is an entertaining, ambitious and innovative club – values that we share as a brand. So this sponsorship is a very important part of our brand building programme in Ireland.

“As we work to realise our long term ambition of being the number one online Casino operator in Ireland, we feel it is important to put down strong roots through prominent partnerships such as this.

“So I’m really looking forward to the season. I think Owen and the team will do great and hopefully we’ll have some fun along the way. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed that our new green boots will be a lucky charm for Jason Byrne as he chases down the league all-time goal scoring record!”

Bohemian president Matt Devaney said: “This partnership clearly strengthens our position as one of the biggest and most recognisable clubs in Irish football and the scale and nature of the deal demonstrates Mr Green’s commitment not only to Bohemian FC, but also to the brand and Irish market as well. Both myself and Owen welcome this investment in the club and in Irish soccer.
