ONSIDE conducted a COVID-19 Sports Impact Monitor survey for the 104 members of the ‘Sport for Business’ community.

The report covers both the concerns and challenges that Sports governing bodies, sponsors and broadcasters face today — among other things.

Results found that 9 in 10 members believe all sporting events should proceed, either behind closed doors (53%) or with a reduced capacity (35%) for the remainder of the year.

Industry stakeholders named managing relationships with sponsors as the fastest growing challenge for them – an issue for 59% of the sector compared to 38% last month.

ONSIDE CEO John Trainor said: ‘There may still be a lot to play for in 2020 as 3 in 4 expect to see events such as the League of Ireland and Irish international fixtures going ahead later this year.’
